Spend it to make it

We wrote the other day about how it’s more sensible to renovate your current Land rather than buy extra Land. We spoke about Claying and Tiling in the Esperance area. The bang for your buck from a production sense from renovating can be profound and it’s also adding to the Land value. Nigel Kerin, a Farmer at Yeoval in NSW, put another spin on renovating Land. This is a more common practice of renovating pastures. Go to the “Cattle & Beef” section below and read what his renovation costs were and what the returns were from Heifer’s weight gain for 24 days of Grazing. The ROI in 5 months was something like 292%, and there is still plenty of Grazing to come. We also wrote recently about how we can get so much more intensive with our Farming practices, and this proves how far we can push production. Also, make sure you watch the video in the post and read all the replies that support his notion. Nigel is of the opinion that letting your country go back to native pastures is a loss of opportunity. I have another story on how the opposite approach works for someone else. I will gather the info in the next few days. What is the cost of not intensifying your Property? Reply to [email protected]
