Something different

On Saturday, we had a friend's 50th birthday party, and it was a party with a difference. At 8:30 on Saturday morning, we all boarded a train that left Yarrawonga station for Benalla. Once we got to Benalla, we had a 3-hour stopover where we all enjoyed Lunch the the North East Hotel. After that, we boarded the train back to Yarrawonga and returned at about 6:30 pm. A few things I noted were: the train could only travel at 30 km an hour because of the state of the track. The Crops up that way looked pretty darn good and they can think their lucky stars that they have had some reasonable rain to get them out of the ground. It's the land of milk and honey as far as Cropping goes as they rarely miss out. The train had about 250 people on it, and all the staff aboard were volunteers, and they did a great job. The train doesn't run along many roads, so you always get a view of people back paddocks and backyards, and all I can say is that some people like collecting stuff. We saw plenty of foxes because most of the way, it's wall-to-wall Cropping and very few Sheep. The need to cull foxes is less. They had a bar on board, which opened at 10 am, and our crew certainly put a fair hole in the fridge. It was a great event, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and it was great catching up with people we hadn't seen for a while. Have you ever been to a party with a difference?  Reply to [email protected]
