The people connectors

We spent Monday and Tuesday up at Wagga Wagga at Mark Lucas's Pasture Agronomy Service (PAC) confrerence. We were lucky enough to get a gig speaking, which we were grateful for. It was my type of event, with the room chock full of Farmers, most of which were Mark's clients. I did a bit of a read of the room, and after speaking to many of the attendees, I came up with a theory. Mark is what we call a people connector. He's a charismatic cat and has built his agronomy business on the back of great service and advice and gets his clients results. He also has a bit of mischief about him and thrives on the two-way banter. I know how difficult it is to get 150-odd Farmers in the room. It's not easy, but for Mark, it is. His annual event is always well patronised, and his clients are happily obligated to turn up and take two days away from the Farm. They would be feeling seriously FOMO (fear of missing out) if they didn't attend. It takes a unique person to connect a group of people together, especially Farmers. Well done Mark, and the quality of the speakers was relevant and topical. Mark also dabbles in overseas Agriculture tours as a tour leader, a role he was born to do. Are there some events that you just can't miss? Reply to [email protected]
