Fairytales are being believed
We went to the Bush Summit event held in Bendigo yesterday. There were a few interesting talks, but the ones that made the least sense, and by a long way, were the politicians. Both Victorian Premier Jacinta Allen and Federal Member for Bendigo Lisa Chesters spoke, and both of them never made sense; Allen never mentioned Farming once, and you think at a Bush Summit, it would be front and centre. All she talked about was the money they were spending, and that didn't make sense in a state that's broke. Chesters was almost weird in some of her statements; at one point, she was going on about how our House roofs weren't strong enough to cope with the extra storm rain climate change was delivering. I hate writing these sorts of stories as I can only report negative stuff, and that is not us. But sometimes things need to be said as we are living in a world where fairytales are being believed. You really had to listen to what was coming out of their mouths to think that these people were void of common sense. No wonder I never consume any political media. Do you believe our political standards have reached an all low? Reply to [email protected]
