No 292 - Friday's Club Notes
The “Club Notes” for Friday, the 23rd of August, 2024.

Start the day with a laugh
It's pretty bloody serious this Farming game. It used to be a lifestyle occupation 30 years ago; remember how Farmers used to say they loved it for the lifestyle? I'm sure it is for many still, but the stakes have got higher, and it takes a whole new level of skill to run a business that may turn over several million dollars, and is worth multiples of that. Farmers are now classified as bona fide business people, which they and others wouldn't have put them in that class a few decades ago. I have had some very positive feedback from this little newsletter from subscribers, and many of them said how they like the funnies each morning. The gathering of all the articles and images is what takes all the time putting this together. Each morning, we put up ten or a dozen funny photos or sayings that get the day off and racing with a bit of a laugh. I pick these up from cartoons in the papers, but I get most of them off Facebook, see, it's good for something, haha. My barometer when scrolling through is that if I do the slightest laugh, then it goes in. Many of them are silly to a point, but you don't have to think too hard, as they are in short form like everything else we do. What sort of humour do you favour? Reply to [email protected]
