Thank you for the thank you
If you want to get anywhere in life, you have to have a few traits. One is manners. Interestingly, I helped a young bloke the other with his profile on Farm Tender, not one thank you or anything. It's not only young blokes; it can be old ladies who do not acknowledge you when you open the door for them. So when you do get a thank you, you have to respond. We wrote a story about how our friends at Mobble offer great service to their customers. Read the story here. I got an email the other day from the lady whom I wrote about. She said this: "Hi Dwain, Amie here from Mobble. I've been wanting to reach out and say thank you for the shout-out in your newsletter a while back. I was completely taken aback and was a little lost for words. I was heading to our local race meet, and a local farmer let me know that I was mentioned in your newsletter. I hadn't read or seen or heard about the article yet, it was such a lovely surprise. It really is a nod to Mobble and the company's values and the importance they hold on putting the farmer first - I am just the lucky one that gets to work for Mobble, it makes me want to turn up and give it my all, every day. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon Dwain. Kind regards, Amie Lange". This is great; Amie loves the business she works for, loves her job and has great manners. Have we lost the thank you era?
