To suit conditions

I went to the Best Wool, Best Lamb, Best Beef (BWBLBB) conference in Ballarat yesterday, which continues today. The event was organised a few months ago when the prospects for the season ahead in Victoria, SA, WA and Tassie had potential. In the 2 weeks leading up to the event, the organisers did a bit of a switcheroo with the program and decided to focus on the current situation. This was on the back of other events that have been held around the country where times are tougher than usual, and people need help with their current situation. Well done to the organisers for reading the play, to those speakers who came in at late notice and to those speakers who moved aside to accommodate a more topical topic. The lesson here is that we need to adaptable and make decisions that suit the current situation. It was really well done, and there was plenty of information about the dry predicament many Farmers are in. People got the opportunity to spend a day or two off the Farm, and they got to talk to others going through the same situation. That's value just there. They also get the wisdom of the speakers who floated a wide range of ideas that people could latch onto, take home and implement. What's your best tip for surviving when there's a dry winter?
