Made up of moments

One Farmer said this: "Attitude is everything. We Farm for the long term; there will be good and tough times, and somehow just have to stay positive and make the best decisions we can with the info we have, then move on. Don't look back". It's a statement we need to keep telling ourselves because our daily Farming lives are made up of moments. The reactions from those moments can be wide and varied. Some of them are routine, in that we just do them without thinking too much, some of them have immediate outcomes that either make us feel good, neutral or not so good, and that's our day done. But it's when times aren't that rosy that the negative moments might compound, and you start to feel that things are getting on top of you. That's when we need to dig into our attitude brief to get ourselves going again. I know myself with my writing here; it can veer off track from time to time, and I start focussing on the more negative stories. I mean it's reality that everything doesn't have a positive overtone to it. The media is tuned in to give us negative stuff that tugs on our heartstrings and gets us to click, watch and listen. Yes, Attitude is everything, and the go-to I come back to is our "find a way" statement. Things aren't going right; find a way to make them go right. Do you have a default setting that gets you back on track?
