20 Farmers on a Crop inspection

We wrote in the paid section yesterday how just getting away for lunch at the local pub, cafe, or restaurant can be a great thing to do. I reckon the occasional lunch with family or friends is one of life's great pleasures. On the back of that, one of our subscribers sent this in: "Hi Dwain, spent yesterday on a bus with 20 other Farmers on a Crop/Farm tour around the district. Organised by a couple of local Farmers with the ability to make things happen, we should do it more often". To right we should, and I’m sure it included a counter lunch somewhere. There are a couple of things I want to talk about here. How good is it getting on a bus with all your neighbouring Farmers and driving around the district discussing the ins and out of it all? Great idea. You might be able to let the bus in a a secret stuff up that may have happened. The other thing here is within every district there are always a couple of people (sometimes more) that make things happen. They know how to come up with ideas for a bit of fun and then how to execute and make it happen. It's like the people behind all these dry start meetings; they are leading Farmers putting these shows on, making it happen. So start thinking about your bus load of people or lunch gatherings. Get out there and make something happen, and do it sooner rather than later. Reply to [email protected]
