You're allowed to change your mind
We do podcast reviews in the paid section of this newsletter, but this one I want everyone to have a piece of this because I think it's going to be beneficial to many. We talk about Nigel Kerin a bit because he is a great thinker on all things Ag and has one of those mathematical minds we talk about from time to time. So when he featured on the Head Shepherd podcast, I didn't hesitate to plug the earpods in for a listen. You can tune in here. Nigel talks about making rules on how you operate your business, having a curious mind, looking for trip-ups that might set you back, doing the one percenters that add up over time, getting rid of things out of your business etc etc. It's an hour of takeaways, and I am sure you will put your own spin on some of the topics he raised. But what I got most out of this was that it was ok to change your mind on things. Some Farmers have rigid beliefs in that this is the way we do it becuase that's the way we do it. Having followed Nigel's progress and having conversations with him over the years, I see he has changed his mind on some things, and I think that is healthy. It's part of being curious. I know in my time, I have changed my mind or opinion on many things. I have got so many things wrong. Have you found your opinion on things has changed over time? What is a good example?
