Celebrating your industry

There has been a bit of reporting in the press and on social media about how good the Wagyu Conference was in Cairns last week. The Wagyu industry is a very interesting case study. An industry created from very small and humble beginnings by people who had a vision. An industry that was created not so long ago and which has strived to be at the absolute top of the Beef quality chain. It’s amazing how many people in the Cattle game have bought in. One thing that was on the agenda at the event was to celebrate the industry and where it sits. It’s something we probably don’t do enough. It mainly happens in the younger type industries like Cotton, etc, and we are less likely to celebrate the age-old Merino industry. It sounds like a wonderful industry to be in right now. Do you think we should be better celbrating the industry/s we are involved in? Reply to [email protected]
