No 283 - Tuesday's Club Notes

The “Club Notes” for Tuesday, the 13th of August, 2024.

Out-of-the-box thinking

I follow this "out there" guy on Twitter called Jake Wolki. Some of his left-field ideas are worth looking into further. He sells his own meat via his website and ships it to areas in NSW and Victoria. He also has a self-serving Butcher Shop in Albury, NSW. He has dreamt up a model, and it's working, which I think is a brilliant idea to run alongside an online store. Take a look here. He has just bought a Farm; previously, he was leasing Land around Albury to run his Sheep, Pigs and Cattle. He also has a Bike shop and a Cafe. Talk about income streams. He is about to go into the accommodation game by putting up a Glamping Tent up. Rather than pay for it himself, he is going to presell nights for $199 and hopefully get enough takers to pay for it through his website and several thousand social media followers. It's also clever marketing. It's a great concept, and I am just trying to work out how we could use it in our Farming businesses. Read the post right at the bottom of the page for context. Have you ever latched on to a left-field idea you have got from someone else?  Reply to [email protected]
