New funding trend emerging

Read below in the Agribusiness section how the Banks are stripping out their Agribusiness departments and leaving us with even fewer people to deal with. This won't go down well with the Farming community, and it's just plain shortsightedness. This will push people to look for alternatives and we think the rise in private funding will start coming into Agriculture. One thing we are good at in Ag is we always find a way (my favourite motto) to fund ourselves. The private funding sector is a little less structured than the banking industry, but once you build relationships, it can be a great win/win for both parties. We have taken private funding for our DelayPay business to deploy out to our customers. So far, it is working well, and it's been a real eye-opener for us. We think that this side of things will become more in demand. I have a small-scale Property developer mate who only ever uses private funding for his deals. Farmers in the past have been great users of vendor finance, and many a Farmer has used funding via solicitors, accountants, Livestock Agencies and the like in the past. We think that Farmer to Farmer funding done through the right channels would be a great option going forward. Have you ever used some form of private funding for your business?
