Wherever possible, in anything we do, we have to limit the barriers to entry. I read in the last day or two that the Country Fire Authority (Vic) are now making it compulsory to do a training course to drive a Fire Truck. If that's not a barrier to entry of monumental proportion, then I will go, hey. A 21-hour training course. Surely a Truck licence would be sufficient. But no, this is the government lining more people up for jobs that aren't required. Rant over for that one, but back to barriers to entry. I came out of the Supermarket yesterday, and a young lady stopped me to talk about a kid's charity she was representing. I said yes, I would donate, and she wanted every detail under the sun, which took about 10 minutes, and then her iPad froze, and we could not complete the transaction. It wasn't the young ladies' fault, but the system that required way too much information for a $49 donation. I remember when we started Farm Tender, we always had the option where we would register someone new. We also started doing listings for them, and 12 years later, we still do both. It eliminates the barriers to entry. Do you have something where you can reduce those barriers to entry?  Reply to [email protected]
