No 329 - Saturday's Club Notes

The “Club Notes” for Thursday, the 11th of October, 2024.

Opinions count

As I get older, I see the importance of having an opinion and standing for something. Mark Ferguson from NeXtgen Agri summed it up when he was a guest on The Rural Sales Show podcast. Take a listen here, and also see the podcast review below. He said by communicating his opinions to his audience, they get to understand what he stands for, and if people like that, they will engage, and maybe they will become clients. People gravitate to people who have some things in common. Agriculture is full of like-minded groups coming together for something familiar. If you stand for nothing and sit on the fence all the time, you won’t get far in life. So be strong with your opinions and look out for others with similar likes and dislikes to you. X (Twitter) is a great spot where people from all over the Farming world can find their own people, they might be down the road, but they also might be a world away. And the old rule is if you put yourself out there in the public domain, make sure you are prepared to cop it a little because that’s how it works. Just as it is that you attract like-minded people to your network, you will also have people who don’t agree with you. It’s all part of how it works. Do you have a network of like-minded Farming people? Reply to [email protected]
