The biggest big thing
Oh Carnamah, you've done it again. Well, you probably haven't done it again, but you have done it. The Big Tractor has already captured our minds (see the images below in the Machinery section). This is a serious piece of Engineering and will be something that draws us to Carnamah, WA (population 400) at least once in our lifetime. It's 11.5 m in height and 16m long. It's a larger-than-life Chamberlain 40K, which was proudly made in Australia. This will argualby be the biggest big thing we have in Australia. Move over Big Banana. The detail looks amazing, and apparently, it took 800 litres of paint to coat it. When I was President of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Cricket Club, a few of us wanted to erect a Big Bat on our Hill down towards fine leg (for a right-hander) on the south side of the ground. For some reason, the section 86 committee (council sub-committee of management) rejected it, and it got buried. Perhaps we should have adopted our find-a-way method, and we would have had something truly unique like Carnamah has. It’s a big, feel-good story of monumental proportion.
