From idea to outcome

The Deni Ute Muster was on last weekend and it looked as though it was another big hit. See the photos below. It's one of those bucket list events we all must attend at least once. I'll put my hand up; I haven't been yet but will get my butt into gear soon. But it's proof that an idea put into motion can turn into an outcome of monumental proportion as it has with this event. And ideas can happen at any point in time; you just have to come up with something that tickles people's fantasies. We look at where it is now and wonder how it got to this point where thousands and thousands of people make the annual pilgrimage, and really, it's a no-brainer. It's the humble Ute. It's something many people can relate to. And then there's Deni, an icon on its own with its Pastoral and Timber history; it used to be a good place to go and guess what, it still is. I mean, why didn't we think of that when we were looking for an event idea for Marnoo 30-odd years ago? Marnoo did have and does now have a successful Sheep event. Getting back to the humble Ute, it has now become a right of passage for almost anyone. Tradies, of course, have adopted them, and I'm sure you would find a few fund managers from Double Bay or Toorak getting around in one, too. And now we have those American ones that fit a personality that want to stretch things a little further. Have you been to a Muster, and if so, what's it like? And if you haven't, what would get you there? Reply to [email protected]
