A genuine good story

It's the time of year when Horse Racing has its moment on the sporting calendar. Some of you will be into racing, and many of you probably aren't, even if you're not, see below in the "Ag People" section the interview of Jason Richardson with Caulfield Cup-winning jockey Harry Coffey. I hope you can open it; if you can't, let me know, and I will see if I can find it on YouTube for tomorrow. Harry is just like us; he's a down-to-earth country guy from Swan Hill (Vic) and has been a very good jockey for a long time. The Coffey's are Birchip people, Farmers who dabble in Horses. He has been doing this jockey thing with cystic fibrosis, and I think he only has half a lung. If you have lost faith in humanity, then this interview restores any of that. It's a combination of humility, humour, and just genuine down-to-earthness. I don't know Harry, but I know plenty of people who do, and they say he's a terrific young man who works hard at his craft, and I know his Caulfield Cup win will put a smile on alot of people's faces. This one is a genuine good new story. What did you think? Reply to [email protected]
