It don't pay the bills

We wrote about the Greens yesterday and how they are attracting the wrong people to their party, which might lead to their demise. I say might. But it got me thinking: is there a change in wind direction here as everyday people work out that going woke doesn't pay the bills? It's like when city folk go to a dinner party and talk about saving the world as a collective, and as soon as they head into the supermarket saying they are only going to buy sustainable products, those same people walk out having bought on price alone. When our living costs start to rise, we adopt a different attitude, and we put ours and our family's way of living first and foremost. Any ideologies we have about the future start becoming second fiddle in exchange for a form of survival mode. In other words, all that fluffy, good-to-do stuff goes out the window. I think people are sick of people making comments and assumptions about things they know nothing about. Are you starting to see attitudes change and people taking a step back on their woke ways?
