Never boring

Agriculture is one of those industries that is never boring. There is plenty going on all of the time. Yesterday was one of those non-boring days, with Elders buying our rival Delta in a heavyweight purchase that will see the pink shirt mob's footprint expand dramatically. These sorts of purchases are the way these listed companies keep growing, and you need to be showing growth to keep the analysts happy, as they half govern the share price. So, as Elder's original footprint gets smaller, they get bigger through acquisition. That is just saying that it's hard to grow these businesses as they are, and you have to keep fighting to keep the customers with you as there are so many alternatives. But what does it mean for Australian Agriculture? It means consolidation, but also it gives opportunities to the small guys. Not everyone wants to deal with or work for a corporate, and apparently, some 30-odd people have walked out of Elders in the last month, all snapped up by the smaller independents who are expanding. Read more about how the independents can win on the back of this decision below in the paid section. One thing to remember as well is that the ACCC still has to approve it. Ballast is so important

In this day and age, if we can save money somewhere, we should be giving it some air time. Phil Rowntree, who works with us now here at Farm Tender, has previously been in the Dealership and knows the importance of getting your Tyre pressure right for optimum efficiency from your Tractor and other Farm Machinery.
