It doesn't work

We have written about common sense a bit this week and this reply came across my desk a day or two ago. This guy works in Ag, and this is what he said: "Gday Dwain, Regarding your note today about the end of wokeism... well, this isn't 100% Ag-related, but I'm definitely seeing some traction in that regard. The Mitchell Shire Council was previously filled with socialism and woke behaviour, so I decided to take a stand and put myself forward for election. I won my seat, and so did 6 other new councillors with similar attitudes. It is a massive undertaking for almost no financial reward. We are focused on getting the council back to core values and clearing bureaucracy for business to succeed. It's a long road... but it's definitely a change in direction from the previous 12 years". Well, hallelujah, praise the lord, thank your mother for the rabbits and all the superlatives you can think of. Isn't this a breath of fresh air? The Mitchell Shite Council is North of Melbourne, and over the years, I have had a couple of residents tell me how bad the Shire had got. Some of the stuff they proposed and implemented was hard to believe. But, the people have now spoken en mass. Because what was happening before (wokeism) isn't functional, and it doesn't work. People don't want to live their lives like that. It diminishes business and causes living standards to drop. I nearly did cartwheels when I saw this. I would love to hear your comment on this?
