No 389 - Saturday's Club Notes

The “Club Notes” for Saturday, the 14th of December, 2024.

Telling it how it is….

I wanted to save this one for the weekend, knowing some of you might have a little more time to listen to something. Although those busy Harvesting won't even know, it's a weekend. Matt Barrie is a straight shooter. He understands how the world works; he gets stuff. He is qualified to talk; he is a successful business owner and an entrepreneur. He seems to be able to knit things together which have an outcome that makes practical sense. There is a YouTube video I listened to last weekend where Barrie, piece by piece, went through some of the things that are wrong with the Australian economy and where things might be headed if we keep on this track. He outlined that the two major things we have got wrong are migration and renewables, with the first one affecting our housing situation. It might sound a bit negative, but it's not because he is telling it how it is. It's real common sense stuff. It's fascinating to watch, and It just gives you an insight in layman's terms into where this country is at and where it is heading. I recommend it thoroughly, especially the first 30 minutes.
