It’s a great model but an even better story

I love a good story about someone who started with nothing and made it good. Our latest competition is partly sponsored by Our Cow, in which we are jointly offering up 6 months' worth of meat, around $1200 worth. Our Cow started out selling their own Beef online after nearly going broke on their Cattle Property near Casino in Northern NSW during the 17-20 drought. Founders David and Bianca are two very determined young people (and celebrated entrepreneurs) who are taking on the big guys (Supermarkets) with a superior offering. They have many points of difference, one being that they source their own meat from a group of preferred supplier Farmers whom they pay "overs" (above the market) for their products grown to their specification. They have created a whole new marketplace from the ground up. Real Farmers get to make a meaningful income for what they produce. I have had a little bit to do with these guys, and their attitude to business is impressive. They think differently. Nowadays, the business is way bigger than the original offering of their own Beef. As growth beckons, they have decided to enter the grocery market to support other Farmers, and the beneficiaries are the eating public.
