No 461 - Saturday's Club Notes

The “Club Notes” for Saturday, the 15th of March, 2025.

By Dwain Duxson - An Ag Enthusiast

So much more….

Turning up, or, as one person called it yesterday, showing up, is a trait that will take you a long way in Agriculture. The person who called it showing up was referring to it as literally driving up the driveway. But I reckon it’s more than that. To me, it’s about returning phone calls, replying to emails or text messages, using your manners, looking people in the eye, doing what you say you are going to do, being on time or early, awareness, etc. I’d say if you are doing all those things, you are turning up, and these traits will take you a long way in Ag because, quite frankly, it’s quite rare that you get a package like that from the Agricultural service industry. I reckon a bloke like Sam Van Assche, whom we interviewed in our latest podcast, is a turner upperer. You only have to listen to how eloquent he speaks. He is super aware of what’s going on around him and how he presents himself. Do you live by some rules as to how you turn up? Or do you know someone who turns up every time?  Reply to [email protected] or 0427 011 900
