Human lotto

There’s a lot of luck in business. I have been down plenty of rabbit holes and come up without the rabbit. Sometimes, you travel hours and hours for something you think might have legs, only to come home with crickets. But the day you stop trying is the day you have given up. And sometimes, it’s just about finding the right person within an organisation. Someone who gets what you are trying to get across. I was just talking to my wife Paula, who was all excited on the phone because, after many rabbit holes, she found someone who got what she was looking for. We are doing a reno on our house, and Paula has spent a lot of time trying to visualise how it’s going to look and finding the right person to product guide her through the process has been difficult. And there were 5 people in this store, and luckily enough she found this person. It was meant to be. They spent an hour and a half together, and now she has the visual visualised finally. I’m sure we have all been to many organisations looking to do business, and it might just be the perfect fit, but if you come across the wrong person, it probably won’t go anywhere. But then, at other times, you get lucky. Perhaps we could call it human lotto.
