  • Rule breakers win - I saw this written somewhere yesterday. This might apply to Farmers from 2025 onwards. We might have to break a lot of rules to win and stay above the average line.

  • Do you find silence in a conversation awkward? In our Joe Messina interview, he uses unique tactics when selling Machinery. He asks for the sale, and then he uses silence. It’s a fascinating story that we wrote today.

  • What is non-commodity thinking? This was the original slogan for The Farmers Club that we came up with, and I still like it. So we think of commodity thinking as more of the standard line, you know, predictable stuff. Non-commodity thinking would be stuff outside the box, something unique and something you don’t hear every day. A question for you. Would you rather hear unique, thought-provoking stuff that might challenge what you do, rather than the things you hear regularly that just confirms what you know?

  • Does your time pooridness (a made-up word) stop you from taking in valuable info? We are trying to re-frame the art of collecting info. We have a solution to why you’re not collecting valuable info each day because of your time pooridness. We don’t want you to miss out. Like Joe Messina asks for the sale, I am asking you to subscriber because I think it would be in your best interest. Silence….

  • There was a Lentil Info Day on the Eyre Peninsula a few days ago, and the crowd rocked up in droves. It took organisers by surprise. To me, this confirms that Farmers are looking for enterprises with more margin in them. Despite Lentils being off a couple of hundred bucks from where they were a few months back, they are a proven high-margin Crop. Ag is being re-framed before our eyes. We wrote about this high-margin pursuit today.

  • Former Farm Tender staff member and now Farmer Matt Henke got his first real dose of the future of AI when an AI bot phoned him for a survey. He said she sounded so real until he cracked a joke and realised it was a bot. We are entering a world where we are questioning whether things are real or created by AI. This will test our ability to trust things. We wrote about it today.

  • Have a great Saturday.
