• We did the Ken Solly podcast yesterday, and we have released part one. Wisdom is his virtue, so there are takeaways galore. We will release the preview early next week and part 2. Subscribe, and I will send it to you.

• We are very lucky to get access to people like Ken Solly. Unless you get to an event he is speaking at or are one of his direct consulting clients, then you don’t get to hear from him. The three top things I took away from part 1 were how deep he must observe things. When you are growing up, you need someone in your corner to guide you to the opportunities. His mother did that. And he said as a kid, it was sport that gave you self-worth.

• Do you have a group of theories? I was lucky enough to get a speaking gig last week in SA, and when I get the opportunity to do something like that, I go through our list of theories. The theories form the basis of what we write, and it’s not whether the theories are right or wrong; it’s more to do with what we can learn from them. Start your day informed.

• It’s Ag, right? It’s a patience, shoulder to the wheel game, this subscription one. I love that it’s like that. I don’t know about you, but anything I have ever done in business hasn’t come easy, and I don’t expect this to either. What have you experienced?

• One thing I am very proud of is the calibre of Farmers we have in our network.

• You don’t own your customers. We wrote about how we lost 3 subscribers and how they explained their reasons why they had to exit. We are very lucky that our subscriber-to-unsubscriber ratio has been 18 to 1 in the last 2 months.

• There are 9 ripper Farmer replies this morning. We are very lucky to have an interactive community that tells it how it is.
