• We have the preview to the Ken Solly podcast, part 2, loaded. You can take a listen here.

• Are you frustrated that you can't get off the Farm to learn more? The podcasts are likened to mini conferences, with each one being like a keynote speech or interview in your pocket. We are starting to build a strong library behind the subscription now. Subscribe to get access to them all. Start your day informed.

• Speaking of the podcasts, our intention is to make them universal, and by that I mean that they will be as relevant in 5 years' time as they are now. We try and avoid the now and focus on the story.

• In part 2 of Ken's podcast, he talks about what the ideal preparation is for a young Farmer who intends to come back to the family Farm. He says 2 years away doing non-Farm things and then another 2 years on other Farms. We wrote about his thinking behind this sort of preparation.

• Roger Fletcher needs no introduction here, and I find his thinking practical in the fact they he can sift through all the BS and get to the point. Today, in an article we wrote, Roger explains how people have all these intentions around things like sustainability, traceability, carbon footprint, etc. But when they sit down to eat a steak or a Lamb shank, they don't care about that sort of stuff. They just want great taste and good value.

• The use of mentors is something we don't do that well in Ag. We have such a great resource in our older Farmers that could help younger Farmers fast-track their development. Today, we write about how some young Farmers who want to go places use mentors successfully.
