• In our replies section, we have an ongoing debate between two industry heavyweight subscribers who disagree that the future viability of the Sheep and Cattle meat industry is in brands. One is a commercial commodity producer who believes we will always be that, and the other is a respected analyst. It’s a respectful debate, but very interesting to watch. Subscribe and see all of our Farmer replies.

• Amazing results. Today, we illustrate some of the results people are getting with their Crops on minimal in-season rain.

• What era are we in or about to enter into? We are in a protein era, and that is catapulting our red meat exports to record volumes. We wrote in an article today about another 7 eras we are in or about to enter into. Some might surprise you.

• It’s the start of the Cricket season in the country areas, so we thought we would chuck a Cricket story in the morning. Being a summer sport and played in the hot sun, Cricket can be a game where your true character is defined. It’s a great way of finding out the makeup of your opposition as well as your teammates. You might even find something about yourself. Are you or have you been a Cricketer?

• You have told us that timing is something that sets the best Farmers apart from the rest. That’s more about the timing that Farmers can control. What about uncontrollable timing? What happens then? Get the controlled timing right, and the uncontrolled timing becomes less of an issue. And then theirs luck? Heavy stuff for a Saturday morning, we dissect it in an article today.

• Not enough Ewes….. The Ram sale season is coming to an end, and we are starting to see big pass-in rates. That was evident in yesterday’s collection of Ram sale results.
