  • I have a new "future model" which I learnt about from marketing guru Simon Bowen. This one shows how if you learn a couple of things each day, or take away a couple of ideas, or find out something you were never going to find out you we move ahead on the green line over time. See the image below. You will also see what one of our Farmer subscribers wrote yesterday and what he gets from subscribing to our newsletter.

  • We released our latest podcast featuring Farming Tours legend Pat Mangan. We will have the podcast preview up tomorrow.

  • One thing our subscribers love is the replies from fellow subscribers. This is where it becomes interesting because we give them a platform to voice their opinions. We only edit the grammar. We had about a dozen replies today, and if you didn't learn a thing or two from them, then you are not reading them right. Subscribe, and I will send them to you so you don't miss out on that Farmer wisdom.

  • Here is one of the replies I am talking about: "Hi Dwain. On the subject of political content, I find your newsletter has given Farmers an outlet to express their views, and it is good for other Farmers to know the general feel amongst our community. (One of the main reasons I subscribe). Where else can we express our views? The Weekly Times and regional newspapers have become woke and have refused to print my letters because of my viewpoint, so we are being shut down deliberately. I'll never forget a few years ago when an ABC radio host said to a person calling in that the science is settled, and she refused to let him talk point-blank. This is what we are up against, and I feel that as Farmers, we only have strength if we know we have support in numbers, and your newsletter gives us that ability. For gods sake, keep it going"

  • So just to explain what we are, we are not woke, we lean to the right, and call out the left, be bat for Farmers, and everything we deliver has the Farmer in mind. Call us Farmer niche or Farmer centric, and you would be hitting the mark.

  • And with our "Funnies", to find the ones that will give you that early morning laugh, they have to be on the edge a little, if that makes sense. We try not to go over the top, and we use respect as a rule.

  • Have a great Friday and start your day informed.
