• We will have the Nikki Lyon preview podcast out today.

• In our full Nikki Lyon podcast, which is available to subscribers, she took 10 years off when she had her 4 kids, and when she returned, she was in shock at the state of the industry. Since then, she has made an effort to promote Wool as a fibre and the Shearing industry in the hope that it might get better. She has genuine fears that it might be a shadow of its former self. She is a real industry hero.

• Fun is underestimated. Sometimes we don't have enough fun. This time of year, communities gather at a local race meeting somewhere. It's a great way to connect and take your mind off the day-to-day pressures. We attended the St Arnuad once-a-year race meeting on Saturday. And guess what? It was loads of fun. When was the last time you had some real fun?

• Welcome to country… No, no not that one…… We held a 40th party on our property (in the green Fook Farm Woolshed) 2 weekends ago and had over 100 people attend. They were all from inner city Melbourne, so for many of them, coming to the bush was a novelty. We'll the feedback was huge, they loved it, and some want to return with their own parties and a wedding. It was great to get people out of the city to enjoy what we take for granted in the bush. We have such a great lifestyle.

• If you subscribe, you are going to get great value out of our Farmer replies. We have lots a great opinions and stories that really resonate. We had a Farmer who wrote in and described how his dad's funeral went and how they did it exactly the way he wanted it to go. It was a great story that made my day.
