No 660 - Thursday's Club Notes (Free)

The free version of “Club Notes” for Thursday, the 6th of November, 2025.

By Dwain Duxson - An Ag Enthusiast

What’s in today’s paid edition? - See below

  • Shane Ruyg has taken over the Hay Report, and here is his first edition. Well done, Shano https://shorturl.at/96tZL

  • We examined another post by Kate Burke and wrote about it. She wrote about coping as opposed to striving. To me, coping is one step away from struggling, and unfortunately, it won’t cut it in today’s Farming world. What she spoke about resembles our average line graph we publish regularly. See it below.

  • I take my laptop everywhere, as putting the full newsletter together takes up a lot of time each day. Because the content we aggregate is in real time, we need to be on the ball all the time. We wrote about having 24 hours off the tools and how the Ag news/info keeps rolling in.

  • Speaking of Ag news and information, if you are an Ag nuffy like me, you want to stay abreast of things as they happen. The transfer of information to and from those at the coalface (Farmers) is vital to keeping your business on the green line, as outlined below. Subscribe to get yourself in that mode.

  • Who are the key people in your business? Is it the Agro, the Agent, the accountant or your consultant? And what would happen if we lost one of those key people to our business? What would that mean? We wrote about this today.

  • Outcomes are what count. You need to be able to tap into the right information that leads to outcomes. This is what one of our subscribers said: “G’day Dwain, I really enjoy reading your emails each morning; it’s become my morning ritual to see what you have each day. It quite often provokes me to think and look into stuff you mention”.

  • Have a great Thursday, and subscribe to keep yourself fully informed.

How do I turn information into actions that really shift the dial? - How do we keep up with the most common-sense thinking in Ag? - How do we stay connected to people who live and breath Ag like we do?
