• There are more Ute models than ever, and they have try to wow us with new features. I am just wondering whether it would be in their best interest to wow us with fewer technical solutions and more practical ones. Machinery could be the same. Build a low-tech 2388 Header equivalent. We wrote about it today.

• Jonathan Lillie spoke about how his dad was known as the "Dag King". They were once the buyer of all of our dags, and we can all remember loading those heavy butts onto the Ute and cashing them at the local Wool buyers. Jonathan pointed out that there were good margins in dags, and we wrote a story about how it's not always the most obvious things that make you the most money.

• We take the piss a bit out of our corporate Agribusinesses. But my hat goes off to Elders today, who recorded another year of profitability. This year it was 86 million, up 36 per cent on last year. We wrote about what it's like to be in business for 186 years.
