No 673 - Friday's Club Notes (Free)

The free version of “Club Notes” for Friday, the 21st of November, 2025.

By Dwain Duxson - Ag Content Creator

What’s in today’s paid edition? - See below

  • This is what I put on LinkedIn and Twitter recently (see below). We are now full noise and focused. It was an interesting experiment. PS: The 3000 is the free and paid subscribers combined. Thanks to those who signed up for the free version and those who went a step further on the back of that post.

  • We had a quick discussion with Ben Duxson on our new “End of Message” short-form podcast about how they are locking out these transmission line people. It’s a well-thought-out and clever approach. Subscribe to listen

  • What’s significant about day 29? It’s because we have a 30-day free introduction to our “Club Notes” (Newsletter). If at all you don’t like it, unsubscribe at day 29 and you have lost nothing. I won’t be offended…..

  • Call me a wanker, but I will judge a town by how early the coffee shops are open. Another guy put up a post on social media saying the same thing. We wrote about it today.

  • The GRDC has nearly a billion dollars in the bank, and many Grain Growers who contribute to the slush fund aren’t really comfortable with it. Someone has come up with a viable alternative to the GRDC, and it is well worth listening to. We wrote about it today.

  • We think the world of information gathering and consuming is going to be in short form. Where we can browse and understand a topic quickly, and if it appeals, we can then seek out the full load. You know, draft it off for a closer look later. Short for is our One Wood….

  • Are you one of those people who get nervous when the prices of commodities are high? We see it more in the red meat industry than in the Grains industry. Some Farmers seem to worry if the Meat Processors are making a loss or the consumers are turning their backs when the price gets high. As Simon Quilty said: “Don’t worry about the Processors. They do alright”. We wrote about it today.

  • Have a great Friday, and subscribe to start every day fully informed.
