  • Firstly, have a great Friday, and subscribe to start your day fully informed.

  • A new Aussie Ag podcast has hit the airways, which is good to see because Aussie Ag podcasts seem to be in decline for some reason. And we got a gig in this one. Take a listen here.

  • When it comes to selling things to other Farmers, like Hay and Feed Grain, it can sometimes be a win/lose deal. Like in a drought, the Hay seller wins, and the Hay buyer loses. The ones that do well out of selling commodities like this are the ones that understand what the customer is up to. They read the market through the buyer’s eyes. We wrote a story about it today and gave a very good example of how one Farmer goes about it.

  • Do you have a morning routine? I know I certainly do. I have been hearing from some of our subscribers that reading The Farmers Club newsletter is now part of that morning routine. And do you know what, many of I have spoken to read it on the dunny.

  • Agriculture is a unique industry, and the people within Ag (us) operate differently from those in everyday society. So when we get people from the renewable energy industry who are constantly in a rush, trying to force Farmers into doing things, then we know we have a situation where things aren’t going to work out. And that’s exactly what has happened. The renewable energy people forgot to let the Farmer know what their intentions were….. We wrote about it today.

  • One of our subscribers said it took the bank 10 months to decline a small facility extension. We did a ripper podcast with Jeff McDonald that every Farmer should listen to on the changes to banking laws and how they affect farmers. Jeff said, As Farmers, we have to change how we engage with the banks, and he’s right, we do. But there has to be a bit of give and take on both sides, and 10 months is way too long. We wrote about it today.
