  • Habit formed - I spoke to a subscriber (Ben from Boort) yesterday, and he said our newsletter is now part of his morning routine that he can't go without because he's afraid he might miss something. Nice words, much appreciated. Create a new "good" morning habit.

  • Podcast preview - The latest podcast preview is about Bill Long. Bill is a well-known Agronomist, Consultant, and Farmer in South Australia. His list of achievements is long, and his network is vast. We have a wide-ranging discussion and cover many topics. Take a listen here.

  • Succession - A book by Kate Burke - We often say that succession is the biggest issue in Ag. Here's a book dedicated to the issue, written by someone who understands Farming and Farmers. To order a book, click here.

  • We only ever use AI for correcting my first draft spelling and grammar errors, and we will never use it to write articles. A subscriber wanted a new brand name for one of the Farming enterprises he was running, and asked if I had any suggestions. I said run all your ideas through ChatGPT, and it will spit out however many names you want. We wrote about the process today. It's great for finding a new name for something.

  • I went to a pub last weekend and had 3 stubbies of Coopers Pale Ale (it wasn't on tap), and whilst I was there, I worked out the major reason why country pubs are struggling. It's not about beer, it's about how we think. We wrote about it today.

  • One of our Farmer subscribers was showing his Farm to the "Agribusiness" bank manager, who asked a silly question. He replied with a relatable but sensible answer. We don't do these relatable answers enough. They make sense. Like when they were marketing the steam engine in the 1800s, and they would say, "This model will replace 5 horses." That's where the term horsepower came from. You have to read this one, it's a classic.

  • Have a great Saturday, and subscribe to form a new morning habit.
