We went to a mate’s wedding in Sale, Gippsland, on the Weekend, and I spotted one thing at a service station that sums up how we are going as a country. Then I went around the corner, and at another service station, I saw something that restored that faith in humanity. Well, sorta. We wrote about it today.
Debt, some love it, some despise it, for some of us it’s a necessity, and for others it puts a roof over our heads. We wrote today about 2 large Ag businesses that haven’t used debt to help them grow. They are two very interesting stories.
One thing we can pat ourselves on the back for doing as a Farming community is helping out someone locally who is going through a tough time. These two incidents we wrote about today were 100 years apart. So, in this ever-changing world, we are still doing some things the same.

Doing this for a subscriber who asked if we could get people to sign one or more of these petitions - Hi Dwain, long-time member of the Farm Tender community here. I'm reaching out as I think a crisis is looming for ordinary Aussie blokes following what happened in Bondi on Sunday. It's a long shot, but I feel a short message to your member following could be used to support honest, licensed shooters who stand to lose out under the proposed laws being put to parliament next week. No pressure, of course, but if you are on board, then maybe share a couple of the SSAA or shooters, fishers, farmers party e-petitions, it might get a few extra signatures for those who are staring down the barrel of a 1996 repeat. Thanks mate 👍. There are many petitions out there, and I guess it's going to differ state by state. You might be able to encourage people to google or ask a mate how they can get on board. I guess the message is that it's not a time to hope someone else will speak for us, but to voice our concerns en mass. For NSW residents (who's premier seems to be going the hardest) there's 2 that have been shared with me by the sporting shooters association. This one is for the legislative council. And this one for the legislative assembly. I will also send you the two emails I received direct from the Shooters Fishers and Farmers party, This is a link to the above petition to the legislative assembly and this one is a link to a website they have created that allows people to enter their address and it automatically uses the location to select their local member, generates a letter (which can be customized) letting their member know they don't support these proposed laws and will vote accordingly at the next election".
