• We hope your Christmas was a good one and you managed to get a few days R & R.

• There will be plenty of 2025 reflections in the paper and on social media in the next few days, and we will do a two-stage short-form podcast on the top 10 things we learnt in 2025. We will do this on our "End of Message" podcast platform. It's been an interesting year with lots of learnings.

• Confidence in what you are doing is something you really have to create; it doesn't come naturally. We are surrounded by all things negative, and we can find ourselves participating in that sort of stuff if we are not careful. Being confident is something we have to work on. My brother Ben wrote an interesting piece on confidence in his newsletter, and we also penned an article on it in today's edition.

• We love what we do and think the content we serve up is good and can help people navigate through this exciting industry called Agriculture. But we also know that you are only interested in what our content can do for you. The only way to find that out is to give it a try.

• What are some of the things you did in 2025 that can shape your 2026? You will need to think about this and probably jot them down. As we get older and experience more things, we become wiser and using wisdom correctly means that we can make better decisions in the future. We wrote about this today.

• I used to enjoy the racing game, but as the decades rolled on, I lost interest. Horse racing, in some ways, is dying, and in other ways, it's thriving. There is a Pommy bloke with a huge social media following who is single-handedly getting people back to the track. We wrote about it today and asked who can do this sort of stuff for Ag?
