  • 2026 is going to be about consuming quality information that helps you stay on the green line (see image below). Here’s a real opportunity to β€œget in” on the ground floor - We are putting our monthly subscription price up from $40 + GST to $45 + GST on February 1st. But if you subscriber before then, we promise to freeze the $40 + GST price for at least 2 years (24 months), maybe longer. So if you have been thinking about signing up one day, now is the time. After February 1, we will also be reducing this free version from 6 days to 2 days a week. Head to the bottom of the page and click upgrade, or if you are having any issues subscribing, ring, text or email (see below), and I can help you out.

  • I see the NFF have appointed Michael Guerin as their CEO. With all due respects to Michael, this is a safe appointment, and I ask the question. Does Ag need safe? We wrote a story about it today.

  • 12 months ago, we never saw images and specs of Chinese Tractors being posted online. Today we do. Is this a clue that they might be about to enter the worldwide market? And will they be welcomed? We go deep on this subject in a story today.

  • Beef Jerky is emerging as a winner from the protein boom trend we are currently in. Jim’s Jerky is a beneficiary of this. We wrote a story about how Jerky is replacing Potatoe Chips as the service station snack of choice.

  • It’s interesting what one of our subscribers, John Carter (Wallaloo Park), said about his changing Ag news and information habits and how he no longer subscribes to any of the traditions mastheads. We write about this a lot, and we are seeing an industry in change mode. What we have done at The Farmers Club is to deliberately create a new news and information category. It’s a space we need to be watching as others will enter, and you will have choices. We are in the throes of an Ag media upheaval, and the big players are about to be replaced by smaller, more niche and nimble ones. It will be the dawn of a new Ag media category. Watch this space closely.

  • Have a great Thursday, and subscribe to be on the ground floor of a new Ag media industry.
